Some jobs mean more than others. This was one of them. We had the privilege of building this new deck for a veteran homeowner in the Mauldin/Simpsonville area - and that context alone made us want to deliver something truly worth standing on for decades.
Here's what we were working with: a brick home that deserved an outdoor space to match. We went with a dark composite decking surface paired with pressure-treated framing and a classic black metal baluster railing system. The result is a deck that looks sharp, holds up in the South Carolina heat, and requires almost no maintenance to keep looking this good year after year.
Composite decking is a big deal for homeowners who don't want to spend their weekends sanding and staining. It handles humidity, sun, and foot traffic without warping or rotting the way traditional wood can. For a family that's earned the right to just relax outside - not maintain a deck - that matters.
The railing system is built with safety and clean lines in mind. Sturdy pressure-treated posts, tight baluster spacing, and solid connections throughout. Nothing about this build was rushed. Every piece of it was put together the right way.
We're grateful for clients who put their trust in us - especially those who've served this country. Building something solid for good people in our community is exactly why we do this work.
